Scope of Training:
Rope Rescue Level I is a 16-hour course designed to teach rescuers how to access, package and evacuate the injured in vertical environments. Students will learn basic knots, rope rigging techniques, single point anchors, basket stretcher evacuations, including lowering and basic mechanical advantage raising systems. Patient consideration and handling will also be covered. Instructors provide continuous instruction and guidance. Safety is stressed at all times, and is the emphasis of all course contents.
