Stairway and Ladder Safety Plan

OSHA Compliance Standard: Subpart D of 29 CFR 1910

This written Stairway and Ladder Safety Plan describes methods and practices for care and use of stairways and ladders that can be read and understood by all managers, supervisors, and employees at your company. This written plan is intended to be used to:

1. create an awareness of the hazards among our workforce,
2. standardize procedures for use and care of the equipment,
3. provide a consistent format for training employees on the proper procedures to be used,
4. minimize the possibility of injury or harm to our employees, and
5. demonstrate your company's compliance with stairway and ladder requirements in Subpart D of 29 CFR 1910.
